Citrus specialist, Jason DeVane, joined Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Real Estate this summer of 2007. 

DeVane is a 5th generation Floridian and a Ft. Meade, FL citrus grower, who currently manages 1,300 family acres of citrus in the area.

As a graduate of Lakeland’s Florida Southern College, he obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Business with a minor in Citrus. He has a strong background in the citrus production business and has done marketing research projects on fresh peeled citrus for the Department of Citrus; and citrus technology and harvest production for private businesses. He carries multiple certifications for the handling, planning, and use of chemical applications in the citrus environment. He currently manages groves for the family business, DeVane Harvesting, Inc.

DeVane is involved in every area of the citrus production business and speaks conversational Spanish that allows him to communicate and help the Hispanic population in the citrus work environment.

Meade with his wife, Olivia and two children, Haleigh and Mason, and is involved in community outreach through their church, First Baptist Church of Ft. Meade.
