David Hitchcock, Realtor® and sales associate with Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Real Estate in Lakeland, FL, recently completed the Emerging Broker Training Program (EBT) provided by Coldwell Banker Commercial’s Commercial University. 

Commercial University is a customized, web-based, and instructor-led educational venue available to Coldwell Banker Commercial associates.

The program requires seven days of traditional classroom training and 14 weeks of live internet classes, self-paced learning, and structured participation of a mentor in the home office. Offered only three times a year, and requiring acceptance into the program, the Emerging Broker Training is specifically targeted to upcoming professionals in the commercial sales/leasing specialty. Hitchcock attended the instructor-led parts of the training in Las Vegas and St. Louis.

The in-depth training included such topics as understanding local markets, gauging client satisfaction, negotiating skills, resolving areas of conflict, creating win-win solutions, determining price and motivation. Hitchcock plans to utilize these real-world topics to serve his clients.

Hitchcock joined Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Real Estate in early 2006 and has a strong background in citrus, industrial, and agribusiness. Currently, he consults on crop input products and land-sale services, relying on a solid background and knowledge of properties throughout the entire State of Florida.
