Zack Morgan joins Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Real Estate in Lakeland, FL as Realtor® and specialist in conservation of wildlife properties.

Morgan is a wildlife biologist and currently the Central Florida Regional Director for the National Wild Turkey Federation. The NWTF is a national non-profit organization that is responsible for Americas’ greatest wildlife success story – the return of the wild turkey (From less than 30,000 in 1940 to over 7 million today).

His role with Saunders Real Estate will be to find solutions for landowners. Sometimes the solution is selling a tract of land outright and sometimes it makes more sense to sell the development rights for cash and keep the property in the family. “There are too few wild places left in Florida. If I can help save some of them and maximize the return for the landowner, then everyone wins.”

With a Masters Degree in Wildlife Biology from Mississippi State University and over 15 years of experience as a real estate investor, Morgan is excited about the opportunity to extend the conservation reach into the real estate industry. He selected Dean Saunders’ office because of Saunders’ extensive work with conservation easements. Saunders, a former Florida legislator, was instrumental in passing important conservation legislation and offers conservation easement services within the real estate industry. “Dean (Saunders) helped my family sell the development rights on our ranch and it was definitely a win-win situation for us.”

Morgan’s background in real estate investments include commercial and residential income properties, storage units, ranches, and citrus groves, however, his specialty is wildlife properties. He has worked as an expert witness to determine the wildlife value of properties in land condemnation cases and was the wildlife biologist for Deseret Ranches of Florida, which encompasses over 300,000 acres of wildlife territory.

Morgan grew up in Lake Wales and is the son of Dr. J.D. and Glenda Morgan. He was several times a National and collegiate water-skiing champion and now lives in Winter Haven with his wife, Nikki, and three children.
