DeanSaundersWeb.jpgDean Saunders, ALC, Licensed Real Estate Broker, and owner of Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Real Estate in Lakeland, FL, accepted an invitation by Coldwell Banker Commercial president, Rick Davidson, to speak at the Coldwell Banker Commercial Affiliates, Inc. global convention, held in Orlando, FL. in February.

Saunders, slated for presentations at two breakout sessions, covered a variety of diverse subjects.

Speaking as a noted conservation expert, Saunders led the seminar Land: A Primer on Environmental Easements, whichpresented insights and answers to questions about conservation easements. Saunders is a former Florida legislator who assisted in creating and passing important conservation legislation, worked to further property rights of landowners, and who served with Florida US Senator, then Florida Governor, Lawton Chiles. Saunders’ efforts made conservation history resulting in the State’s very first purchases of conservation easements, a practice that continues to grow each year.

The number of conservation easements being bought today by the Federal, State, and Local governments and conservation organizations, is growing and landowners attending the seminar learned essential facts about this process.

In addition, Saunders participated in the panel discussion, Best Practices: Win Business by Hosting a Local Industry Event. He joined Terry Simmons, Alex Rhoten, and Jamie Martinson, all from Coldwell Banker Commercial Mountain West in Salem, Oregon. The panel presented insight into gaining business with annual forecasting and local industry events.

Saunders was selected for this panel for his hosting of a prominent and successful Florida Real Estate Land Conference each year in Lakeland, FL. The land conference headlines current real estate experts from the national, state, and local markets. For several conferences, keynote speaker has been then Chief Economist for the National Association of Realtors®, Dr. David Lereah.

Saunders comes from a 6th generation Florida agriculture family and graduated from the University of Florida with a BSA in Fruit Crops, Food, and Resource Economics. He is the former Chair of the Florida Real Estate Commission. In 2003, Saunders was selected as one of the exclusive nine “Notables,” along with Alan Greenspan, then four-term Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, by the National Association of Realtors®. As a Notable, Saunders is designated by his peers to be among the influential professionals who influence real estate nationally.

Saunders has been the recipient of many industry awards and since affiliating with Coldwell Banker Commercial in 2006, has personally garnered CBC top sales recognition nationally in 2006, as well as leading the company in 2006 to a #2 position in the Coldwell Banker Commercial Affiliate network. In 2007, Saunders earned the recognition for “Top Two” (top 2%) in the affiliate network, also leading the company to win the Commercial Elite Group award.

Saunders resides in Lakeland, FL with wife, Gina, and their four children.
