David Goodlett is a Senior Advisor at SVN | Saunders Ralston Dantzler Real Estate in Lakeland, Florida.
David currently serves as Senior Vice President of Corporate Relations for Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida (SCGC) located in Belle Glade. He is also responsible for governmental strategy and political activities and maintains the Office of Government Relations coordinating activities with SCGCs 43 grower members. Additionally, he represents SCGC as a Board member of both the Florida Sugar and Molasses Exchange and the Washington-based Sugar Association.
Before joining SCGC, David’s work experience included positions with the Florida Sugar Cane League, Congressman Tom Lewis, and Palm Beach County. He also taught Political Science at Palm Beach State College as a part-time instructor.
David has earned degrees from Palm Beach State College, Florida State University, and received his MPA from Nova Southeastern University. He attended Oxford University in England, earning credits in Comparative Governments, and is a graduate of the Republican National Committee’s Campaign College.
His current community relations activities include the Palm Beach County Economic Council, Palm Beach Historical Society, and the South Florida Fair. Other highlights of David’s career include gubernatorial appointments to both the 15th Judicial Circuit Nomination Commission and the Palm Beach County Healthcare District.
Although David has never forgotten his roots in Belle Glade, he now resides in West Palm Beach with his wife Michelle and their three wonderful children Alison 35, Charlie 27, Andrew 24, and granddaughter Avery, 4 mos.
