Mike Shenefield is an Advisor at SVN I Saunders Ralston Dantzler Real Estate in Lakeland, Florida.

Mike specializes in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), focusing on the acquisition and divestiture of middle-market businesses in the Florida and Georgia markets.

His background as a corporate executive involved in M&A work and serving as an intermediary in this space dates back more than 35 years.
For the past several years, Mike has served in a senior management capacity in the Material Handling Industry, focusing on financial management, acquisitions, and business development. During this time, he led two major acquisitions, one for a large strategic buyer and one for a private equity company based in New York City.

During the first half of Mike’s career, he worked for large, publicly traded companies, including Ford Motor Company, Schering-Plough Corporation, and the Mead Corporation. He served in various senior management capacities focusing on financial management and corporate development initiatives involving business planning and business acquisitions. Most notably, he served as Vice President of Finance for the Plough Consumer Operations Group, a $1.0 billion group of companies based in Memphis, TN including such well-recognized brands as Maybelline, Coppertone, St. Joseph Baby Aspirin, and Dr. Scholl Foot Products.

In 1983, Mike and his family moved to Central Florida. He shifted his career focus in the direction of smaller, privately-held companies, serving in various executive-level financial management positions with a continuing focus on business acquisitions and divestitures, corporate development, restructuring, and business planning. More specifically, Mike served as the Chief Financial Officer of Citrus World Cooperative (Florida Natural Growers) in Lake Wales, Florida. He headed up a strategic, operational, and financial restructuring initiative significantly reducing debt and strengthening the Company’s Balance Sheet, which ultimately served as the financial platform to launch the national roll-out of the Florida Natural Brand of juices. He also served as the “point person” for Citrus World Cooperative in a middle-market acquisition of a complementary juice processing company in Orlando.

In addition to Mike’s corporate ventures in financial management and business development activities, he organized and managed the Central Florida Office for Corporate Finance Associates for a number of years. This very old and well-established Investment Banking Company serves middle-market companies in business financing and acquisitions with offices throughout the country and internationally.

With a proven mix of corporate business acquisition success and several years working directly in the M&A space, Mike has a track record of success and accomplishments in middle-market company acquisitions and divestitures. Today, Mike’s clients reap the benefits of his ability to:
