LAKELAND, FL September 20, 2010 – Jay Mathews recently joined Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Real Estate in Lakeland, FL as Realtor® and Sales Associate. He specializes in commercial and land properties.
Mathews starts his real estate career with the large Lakeland land brokerage with a life-long passion for “Old Florida” lands where he hopes to provide excellent service in specialized industries that will impact people’s quality of life.
His strong appreciation for the natural landscapes of Florida outdoors will bring to his clients a first-hand understanding of the land and its complexities. Mathews shares, “I look forward to contributing to my clients’ plans for their real estate goals, whether it is for family or investment.”
The passion for nature recently helped him reach the goal of hiking the Appalachian Trail for three months that included terrain in Georgia, North Carolina, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York.
Originally from Lakeland, FL, Mathews graduates in 2010 from the University of South Florida with a degree in Business Administration with additional studies in Real Estate Finance and Principals. He is fluent in American Sign Language.
He has several designations from his past positions; the platinum status in I-Car certification (auto industry) and he obtained the Florida Accredited Claims Adjuster certification. He previously worked with Sterling Auto Body Centers where he was featured in a national newsletter receiving the Above and Beyond: Service that Shines award for his outstanding customer service. He also worked for Fosters Aircraft Refinishingand Grasslands Golf and Country Club.
He is a member REALTOR® of the Gulf Coast Association of REALTORS® and resides in Lakeland, FL.
