Sunrock Groves Sold by Brian Beasley and Dean Saunders for $14.1 Million

The large 1,675 ± acres citrus grove in Hendry County produces a variety of oranges, tangelos, and grapefruit.

LAKELAND, FL, March 30, 2020 – SVN | Saunders Ralston Dantzler Real Estate senior advisors Brian Beasley, CCA, CNLM and Dean Saunders, ALC, CCIM recently brokered the sale of a 1,675-acre ranch in Hendry County, Florida for $14,154,115.

The property, located in LaBelle, Florida, is a large citrus grove, producing a variety of oranges, tangelos, and grapefruit. The property is improved with a substantial irrigation drip system and approved Southwest Florida Water Management Districts water permits through 2029.

There is a continued shift happening in the makeup of the citrus industry. The effects of the Citrus Greening disease are a decline in the health of trees and reduced production. Citrus groves with ample production continue to be profitable. However, citrus farming requires significant commitment and resources to successfully replant unhealthy groves and maintain profitable levels of production.

“The Sunrock Grove is ideally located for citrus and sugarcane production,” said Beasley. “However, the buyer of the land will probably use it for industrial uses sometime in the near future.”
