USDA Purchases $1.9M Conservation Easement for Florida’s Wetlands Reserve Program

LAKELAND, FL – October 31, 2013 – Dean Saunders, ALC, CCIM of Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Real Estate (CBCSRE) announces a recent conservation easement sale to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The 444.40 +/- acres, located in Glades County, FL sold for $1,883,472 ($4,238.24 per acre). The conservation easement becomes a part of the Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) that provides technical and financial assistance to landowners, in order to restore, protect, and enhance existing wetlands.

The landowner was represented by Saunders and the closing date was September 23, 2013.
