Jim Pruitt, RPRA is the Appraisal Managing Director at Saunders Valuations, providing professional valuation services to financial institutions, landowners, and other real estate stakeholders.
Born in Winter Haven, Jim is a native Floridian, a third-generation real estate professional, and is the first in his family to become an appraiser. He holds over three decades of experience leading appraisal departments, optimizing workflows, and integrating advanced technologies across commercial, agricultural, and special-use properties. Jim has built national appraisal teams, streamlined operations with mapping and legal description validation tools, and advised stakeholders on collateral risk across over 40 states.
From 1993 through 2018, Jim contracted primarily with A.R.E.A. Real Estate Appraisers, Inc., managing their commercial real estate appraisal department. Prior to joining Saunders Valuations, he was the Chief Appraiser for AgAmerica Lending. Jim is also the President of Palantir Inc., an appraisal, consulting, and technology provider with an emphasis on real estate and drone imagery.
As a Certified General Appraiser, Jim is licensed in multiple states. He is currently an Accredited Member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA), holding their Real Property Review Appraiser (RPRA) designation. Jim is a committed educator and leader within ASFMRA, contributing to national committees and instructional programs.
