Fletcher Majors, ALC, JD, founder of Great Southern Land, and Eric Leisy, ALC, GRI, will serve as Senior Advisors, bringing decades of experience, nationally recognized credentials, and a proven track record in land transactions. They are joined by Kent McNaughton and Mike Hutcheson, who will also serve as Senior Advisors, further bolstering the firm’s expertise. Together, the group reinforces Saunders’ position as a trusted authority in brokering land transactions across the region.

Majors, ALC, JD, brings over 50 years of land brokerage experience. Before joining Saunders Real Estate, he founded and led Great Southern Land, a cornerstone of Alabama’s land market. He is nationally recognized as an instructor for the REALTORS® Land Institute (RLI) and a recipient of the Land REALTOR® of America award (1996), RLI Alabama Land Broker of the Year (1991, 1995, 2016), and the RLI National Robert C. Meeks Distinguished Service Award. Major’s expertise spans timberland, transitional land, recreational properties, and equitable partitioning, advising attorneys and CPAs on complex land valuations.
In addition to his brokerage work, Majors is actively involved in the Alabama Association of REALTORS® (AAR), where he serves on the Public Policy Committee. As the land specialist on the committee, Majors provides insight on land-related issues and works alongside AAR leadership and members across specialty fields to help guide the organization’s policy positions and, when appropriate, support the introduction of legislation that protects property owners and industry professionals.

Leisy, ALC, GRI, brings more than 30 years of experience guiding clients through every stage of land transactions. His expertise spans land brokerage, commercial lending, appraisal, development, and investment analysis, giving him a comprehensive perspective on timberland, soil, wildlife habitat, agricultural use, access, and development potential. Leisy has guided major lifestyle, power, and retail developments, providing insight into both commercial and residential opportunities. A seven-time national APEX Award recipient and RLI Alabama Chapter Land Realtor of the Year (2025), Eric holds the ALC and GRI designations. His experience allows him to help families, investors, developers, and conservation-minded landowners make confident, informed decisions across Alabama.

Hutcheson, RF, will serve as a Senior Advisor for the Saunders Real Estate team, bringing more than 40 years of experience in land and timber transactions. Based in Vredenburgh, Alabama, he works with landowners and investors across southwest Alabama, specializing in hunting, recreational, and timberland properties. McNaughton will also serve as a Senior Advisor, covering South and Central Alabama. With decades of experience and deep local roots, McNaughton specializes in rural and recreational land, including small to mid-sized tracts and transitional properties. He is a member of the Montgomery Area Association of REALTORS® (MAAR) and the REALTORS® Land Institute (RLI) and is known for effectively positioning properties to maximize usability and long-term value. Together, Hutcheson and McNaughton bring strong regional expertise, further enhancing Saunders Real Estate’s capabilities across the Alabama market.
